hi, i also have cq40-330tu laptop. like u i also faced same problem. from customer care it is told that d model is incompatiable for any version of xp. but i succesfully managed load xp on this model. here follow this:
1. http://rapidshare.com/files/217814123/xponcompaq.rar
download this and unrar...read carefully the html file.
2. in the html file u will find the download link of "nLite"..download n install it.
3. now, sata raid controller driver is required, which is bit too tough to find in internet. however, i got it and given here..the aforesaid driver is in the "sata contr" folder.
4.ok, now just follow the instruction in that html file..keep ready a blank cd to make bootable cd.
5. b careful, the bootable cd u will b d only cd from you can format and boot your laptop, so make as many as copy of it.
p.s:- trust me..im posting this solution from my laptop which running on winxp rather than vista. if u find any difficulties TRY YOURSELF. ALL THE BEST

Hi this is ramu. I've CQ40-330TU Note Book, and i've the problem in audio drivers. After each shutdown of my system, the audio is going to be OFF. Aagain i must have 2 install audio drivers.......
please give the information for this?
